Nailing Homecoming

Home is where your heart is, and as our schools become our second home, homecoming parties and events can be really thrilling and fun. The scrumptious food and tasty drinks that are pre-requisites for homecoming parties are surely the kind of stuff that are worth looking forward to. However, the most exciting things about homecoming parties are meeting your friends you have utterly missed and hearing the bag of stories they have collected during the entire summer. Sure enough, you would not want to get on with this lifetime experience with a hideous dress.

The following are some factors that you would want to consider in picking your homecoming dresses (because one is not enough!):

1.      The fit

Of course, you would not want to buy a dress which you cannot wear. Make it sure that you know your exact measurements and the extra inches you need so that you would not look like a suffocating lollipop.

2.      The cut

Cocktail dresses mainly revel on the various cuts they have. Tube-top, halter-top, above the knee length, long sleeves, turtleneck and others, homecoming dresses are mainly concerned on showing and emphasizing the natural curves of your body rather than obscuring it through grand embellishments like with long ball gowns.

3.      The color

There are three things that you should consider on picking the right color for your dress: first, your skin color, since you would not want to look either too dark nor too bright or even both; second is your make-up; and the third one is the motif of the party, is there is any. It might sound cliché but if you are bringing a date with you, it would be really fun if your colors complement as well!

Indeed, failure to nail homecoming parties can really devastate your entire academic year. However, successful completion could possibly mean a rocking school year!
